When he met her he was certain that he’d known her, he knew he’d never met her before, he would have remembered that kind of thunderbolt to the heart, but still, certain he’d known her. Perhaps in a another lifetime they’d been star crossed lovers or best of friends, in this lifetime it had taken him five minutes to know that he wanted nothing so much as to never spend another day without her.
Diamonds for fire and ruby for heat, this ring is what I like to think of a sexy little number. It’s styled like a tiny tiara for your finger, and is set with two chunky old European cut diamonds that weigh in at about 0.69 carats and 0.81 carats, for a total in diamond weight of 1.5 carats. The top stone is a glowing pink-red ruby that weighs about .55 carats. All of the stones are prong set into a simple yet elegant 15 karat gold ring. The face of this ring measures 14.6 mm from top to bottom and 17 mm across, the ring sits 5.6 mm off the finger and narrows to 1.7 mm at the back of the band. This size 5.5 ring could be resized to suit, it weighs 3.7 grams. This ring has been carefully acid tested to verify the metal content.
This ring is unmarked but was most certainly hand crafted in England and dates to about 1900-1910, it comes in an old hand made box which is printed with “Victor Crichton Ltd. Silversmiths & Jewellers, 19, Kensington High St., London, W.8. Telephone: Western1254”.
