Antique Arts and Crafts Era Necklace Blue Enamel Silver Moonstone

$ 1,940.00

It was a pushback to mechanization, to the ending of all things being hand crafted, a return to simple materials that were elevated through not intrinsic value but by the artists hand. It was the Arts and Crafts movement and made the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th incredibly beautiful through designs that are still replicated and highly coveted today.

This circa 1900-10, Arts and Crafts necklace is set with plaques of bright denim-blue enamel and cabochon moonstone gems. Lovingly hand crafted in sterling silver, the necklace has four navette blue enamel plaques and four moonstone set plaques and the center drop contains a heart of blue enamel with a bright moonstone above and below it. This necklace is 17.25 inches long and weights 17.4 grams. It is unmarked but tests as silver.

A beautiful piece of history, this Arts and Crafts Era necklace is English in origin.
