Created in Birmingham in 2000, this spectacular cocktail ring is fashioned in rhodium plated 18 karat white gold and bears the “CPM” sponsor’s mark associated with Cookson Precious Metals. At its center is a magnificent natural oval faceted Siberian color amethyst weighing approximately 41.87 carats and measuring 27 by 19.4 by 14.31 millimeters deep. Its exceptional color was independently graded Very Deep Purple with vivid saturation, precisely the rich, intense coloration that makes Siberian color amethyst so desirable. Twenty two natural round brilliant cut diamonds spill across two opposing corners at varying heights, totaling approximately .95 carat, with G to H color, VS1 to VS2 clarity and Very Good cut. The face measures approximately 33 millimeters north to south, 19.8 millimeters across and sits an impressive 14.8 millimeters off the finger. The ring weighs a substantial 17.72 grams, is a US size 6.5 and is stamped “750” for 18 karat gold along with its Birmingham hallmarks and “CPM” sponsor’s mark. An independent appraisal places its estimated retail replacement value at $14,430.
