Made in France around 1890, this solid 18 karat gold signet ring bears the French owl hallmark and features a crisply engraved double-armorial intaglio on the face. The shield is oval in form and measures 10.7 mm north to south and 11 mm across, with a depth of 2.3 mm. The band width is 3.3 mm, and the ring weighs a substantial 8.18 grams. It is a US size 6.75. Acid tested for purity.
