A jewel worthy of a Victorian love story, this heart-shaped pendant glows with the moody green fire of a faceted tourmaline, set beneath a delicate pearl-studded bow and framed in a halo of natural seed pearls. Crafted around 1890, the pendant is made in 15 karat gold and set with a beautifully cut green tourmaline heart measuring 13.7 x 14 x 6.5 mm. It’s surrounded by 38 natural seed pearls ranging from 1–2.5 mm, and suspended from an 18" 15 karat gold chain with seven 2 mm pearls spaced along its length. The necklace closes with a box clasp and is hallmarked “585.” The full pendant, including the pearl-studded bail, measures 41 mm long, 27 mm wide, and 6.5 mm deep. The total weight is 3.7 grams.
