Handcrafted in about 1850, this Victorian fob is rendered in rich 15 karat gold, its architectural form deeply chased with bold floral scrolls. The base holds a bloodstone intaglio measuring 9.6 mm, engraved and encircled with a Latin inscription. The overall dimensions are 24 mm tall by 11.5 mm wide and deep, and it weighs 5 grams.
