There is an elegance to this antique Edwardian sapphire and diamond ring that feels refined, deliberate, and quietly confident. Three soft blue sapphires glow at the center, their color gentle rather than showy, framed by rose-cut diamonds that catch the light like dew along a petal’s edge. The marquise-shaped top gives the ring a graceful, elongated line on the hand, while the pierced gold gallery beneath reveals the thoughtful craftsmanship that defines Edwardian jewelry. It feels light, intimate, and beautifully composed, the kind of ring chosen for everyday wear by someone with an eye for detail.

Handcrafted in England and dated 1908, this antique sapphire ring is made of 18 karat gold and is fully hallmarked with the crown, “18,” the Birmingham anchor, the date letter “i,” the maker’s mark “H&S,” and an additional number “4077.” It is set with three faceted sapphires totaling approximately 0.31 carats, including a central oval sapphire measuring about 4.5 by 3 by 2.1 millimeters, flanked by two sapphires measuring approximately 2 by 1.5 by 1.5 millimeters. Six rose-cut diamonds, each measuring approximately 1 millimeter, accent the sapphires. The ring measures approximately 7 millimeters north to south, 18 millimeters across, sits about 3.5 millimeters off the finger, has a band width of roughly 2.7 millimeters, weighs 2.8 grams, and is a US size 7.75.

This is the sort of jewel that feels personal rather than precious, easy to live with and quietly captivating. It carries the romance of the Edwardian era without excess, offering color, sparkle, and history in perfect balance, a ring that invites curiosity, rewards a closer look, and naturally becomes part of its wearer’s story.
