Dark as the forest floor after rain, this bloodstone ring carries the quiet weight of Victorian sentiment and mystery. Its surface, a deep mossy green scattered with flecks of red, was once believed to hold protective powers, especially for those who walked alone or carried burdens unspoken. The finely worked gold shoulders curl into sculptural flourishes, with leafy engravings and bead-like details that catch the light like sunlight filtering through old glass. Crafted in 18 karat gold, this antique signet ring is set with a single oval bloodstone measuring 10.2 x 8.6 x 1.9 mm. The ring measures 11.7 mm from top to bottom, 18 mm across the face, and stands 4 mm off the finger. The band tapers to 2.3 mm wide in the back and it weighs 3.1 grams. The worn hallmarks on the interior are unfortunately too rubbed to be fully legible, but the form and construction are consistent with English work from around 1880. Currently, it is a US size 8.25.
