While we in the 21st century tend to think of adorning the wrist as an afterthought, the Victorians understood the sensuality in the curve a wrist. Step into the elegance of the Victorian era with this exquisite antique gold bangle bracelet, adorned with diamonds, pearls, and natural Burmese rubies—a true masterpiece.
Handcrafted in England in about 1880-90, this this elegant bangle would have represented the height of Victorian opulence. Set with 5 creamy white pearls (4.5mm - 6 mm and possibly natural) and four (4) closed backed natural Burmese rubies (measure 4.5 x 3.5 mm), 8 rose cut diamonds (4 measuring 2 mm and 4 measuring 1 mm) tip each gem. Its circumference measures 6.5 inches and it will stand 15 mm atop your wrist. Adding to its allure, this antique bangle comes in an antique “M. Cupillard Joailier Grenoble” box, a glimpse into the way these treasures were presented and preserved in the 1800s (although I doubt these two started life out together, this box has no doubt protected this treasure for many a long year. This bangle bears no marks but tests as 15 karat gold and weighs 25.6 grams out of the box.
