Vintage David Andersen Silver Turquoise Necklace

$ 380.00

Like a skyline seen through a dream, this striking pendant by Bjørn Sigurd Østern for David Andersen turns geometry into poetry. Sculptural and rhythmic, the design flows downward in nested open forms that suggest both futurism and deep-rooted natural symmetry. At its base, a vivid turquoise cabochon anchors the piece with a touch of earthy elegance—a balance between motion and stillness, line and color. It’s unmistakably modern, yet rooted in the mid-century optimism that shaped it.

Made in Norway around 1960, this pendant is crafted in sterling and bears full marks, including NORWAY, STERLING, 925 S. D-A INV.B.S.Ø for Bjørn Sigurd Østern. The pendant measures 56.6 mm tall, 48.9 mm across, and 7.65 mm deep. The turquoise cabochon is approximately 12.2 x 10 mm. The accompanying silver box chain measures 17 inches long and weighs 5.07 grams.

A wearable piece of Nordic design history, this necklace is as bold and effortless today as it was the day it was made.
