Antique Arts and Crafts Ring Silver Mother of Pearl c. 1910

There’s a quiet glow to this ring that feels like dawn breaking over a calm sea. The surface of the mother of pearl shifts with light and motion, sometimes silver, sometimes blush, sometimes the faintest hint of blue. Set in a clean, oval bezel with simple geometric shoulders, the effect is subtle and serene, like a treasured keepsake worn by someone who knew the power of understatement.

Crafted around 1910 and hallmarked 835, this antique ring is made in silver and set with a beautifully polished oval mother of pearl measuring 17 x 12.5 mm. The ring face measures 21 mm by 18.7 mm, with a rise of 6 mm off the hand. The band is 2 mm wide and the ring weighs 4.14 grams. It currently fits a US size 8.5.

Elegant in its simplicity and timeless in its appeal, this piece is a gentle reminder that the most luminous things in life don’t need to shout to be seen.
