There’s a quiet rhythm to this antique Edwardian five stone diamond ring, five natural diamonds set in a gentle arc, each stone catching the light in turn, like footsteps across a sunlit floor. The scalloped 18 karat gold setting hugs each diamond closely, giving the ring a soft, continuous shimmer rather than a single focal point. Refined and beautifully balanced, this antique English diamond ring is unmistakably Edwardian in spirit, elegant without excess, designed to be worn daily and treasured deeply. It is the sort of ring that feels like it has always belonged on someone’s hand.
Handcrafted in England around 1910 and fully hallmarked for Chester, this antique five diamond ring is made of solid 18 karat gold and bears the crown, “18,” Chester town mark, maker’s mark “S.U. Ltd.,” and additional mark “11688"(?). It features five natural diamonds totaling approximately 0.29 carats, including one central diamond measuring about 3 x 3 x 1.6 millimeters, approximately .09 carats, flanked by two diamonds measuring approximately 2.5 x 2.5 x 1.8 millimeters, approximately .14 carats total, and two outer diamonds measuring approximately 2 x 2 x 1.2 millimeters, approximately .06 carats total. The ring measures 6 millimeters north to south, 19.5 millimeters across the face, and sits 3.3 millimeters off the finger, with a band width of 2.4 millimeters. It weighs 2.89 grams and is a US size 7.25.
Five stone diamond rings have long symbolized enduring love, past, present, and future held together in one graceful line. Worn today, this Edwardian diamond ring feels effortlessly timeless, perfect as an antique engagement ring, anniversary band, or meaningful heirloom in the making. A luminous English Edwardian jewel carrying over a century of history, ready to become part of someone else’s story.
