Vintage Silver Hannu Ikonen Reindeer Moss Ring

Like reindeer moss fossilized mid-growth, this sculptural silver ring by Hannu Ikonen captures the natural world in a moment of abstraction. It’s wild and elegant all at once, organic forms rising from the band like wind-twisted branches in winter stillness. This is nature reimagined through a bold modernist lens.

Crafted in Finland in 1973, this large statement ring is made of solid sterling silver and features several hallmarks: MADE IN FINLAND, the national control mark (a crown within a heart), 925, the Turku town mark, and the date letter U7 for 1973. It measures 32.5 mm north to south, 23 mm across, and rises 7.4 mm off the finger, with a wide 6 mm band. It weighs 10.24 grams and fits a US size 8.25. Designed by celebrated Finnish jeweler Hannu Ikonen, this piece is one of the rare silver iterations of his well-known Renmoosblüte (reindeer moss) series, most often found in bronze and typically unsigned.
