This antique silver and green and white enamel necklace was hand crated in the Arts and Crafts era, around 1910 by famed Norwegian silver smith Marius Hammer. Hammer lived from 1847-1927 and worked in Bergen, Norway. This drop necklace features flowers and drops of bright spring green and matte what enamel with that velvety look that Hammer was a master of. Chains of silver weave throughout this necklace, piecing together a lovely statement piece of swirls, loops, and twists. This piece weighs 10.3 grams and measures 16 inches in length. It has been acid tested. A mark on the back reads, ‘930S’, indicating fine silver.
Wearable on a Saturday night date, give-able for a wedding present, presentable at a cocktail party, and more than reasonable for showing off, this necklace would also make a supreme addition to a collection of the works of this important artist!
