Antique Victorian Ruby Pearl Double Snake Gold Ring, c.1890 Size 7

Twin serpents curl around the finger in a tender, protective embrace; one set with a creamy white pearl, the other with a vivid ruby that catches the light with flashes of pink and red. Their golden bodies form a double band, smooth and sinuous, wrapping close in a symbol of eternal love and unity. The inscription inside reads simply “Mum and Dad,” a quiet echo of the devotion this ring was meant to hold, passed from one heart to another across time.

Crafted in 18 karat yellow gold and hallmarked “B 18Ct,” this English ring dates to around 1890 and is a size 7 US. The ruby is a square-cut stone with a low crown and pointed pavilion, measuring approximately .08 carats. The pearl is 2 mm round with a soft, creamy luster. Overall dimensions are 9.4 mm North to South, 11.6 mm across, and 2.8 mm deep, with a band width of 4.2 mm at back. The ring weighs 3.7 grams.
