– Sold OutThis silver bell carries more than just its weight, it holds a quiet dignity that belies its modest scale. Once worn as a pendant or perhaps suspended from a chatelaine, it was made to be both ornamental and audible. Its surface is smooth, its shape understated, but when softly rung, it releases a clear, delicate chime, a small perfect note from a bygone world.
Fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England, and dated 1896, this bell is made in sterling silver and bears the lion passant, the anchor, and the date letter “m,” along with the maker’s mark GU It measures 42.5 mm tall and 33 mm across the base, and weighs 22.97 grams. The clapper is intact and functional.
A perfect Victorian token, equally suited for display, wear, or collection, this bell rings true in every sense.
