This sentimental masterpiece is adorned with eight closed-back cushion cut diamonds, the center is 5 mm across and the seven diamonds surrounding it are 3mm each. The diamonds are closed backed and therefore it's not possible to get a depth or carat weight on them, but it faces up as about a 1.5-2 carats in total diamond weight. On the reverse of the ring, under the top is a secret inscription: "G.D.C. 27th Dec 1893”. The 15 karat ring bears no marks, but has been carefully tested for gold content. The face of this ring measures 11.5 mm north to south and 11 mm across, it sits 6.4mm off the finger and tapers to 2.1mm at the back of the band, it weighs 2.9 grams and is a size 6.5US.
