Edwardian 18k Gold Sapphire Diamond RIng Hallmarked 1907

$ 680.00

Handcrafted in Chester, England in 1907, this lovely and lively three stone sapphire and diamond ring no doubt has some stories to tell!

This type of setting, called a graver setting, uses a special tool that pushes gold up and over the stones to form the prongs. The tool leaves a very distinctive shape in its wake, making the stones appear to be set like stars. The resulting design is both beautiful and functional and the stones are low set so that they don’t get caught on things or get in your way. The perfect style of ring to be used in a ring stack!

This lovely ring contains two bright blue sapphires which measure 3x3x1.2 mm and one old cut diamond at the center which measures 2.5x2.5x1.15. The ring is a band shape that measures 7.5 mm north to south at the face and narrows to 3.4 mm at the back of the band, it sits just 2.2 mm off the finger and is a size 8.75. the ring contains marks showing that it was made in Chester, England in 1907 of 18 karat gold, it weighs 2.6 grams. (Box not included, just for display).
