This ring has the easy elegance of something chosen carefully and worn often. Handcrafted in England and fully hallmarked in Chester in 1908, this ring is made of 18 karat gold and bears the crown, “18,” Chester town mark, date letter “H,” and the maker’s mark “JH.” It is set with five old European cut diamonds totaling approximately .76 carats. The center diamond measures about 4.2 x 4.2 x 2.5 millimeters and weighs approximately .28 carats, flanked by two diamonds measuring about 3.5 x 3.5 x 2 mm totaling approximately .30 carats, and two smaller diamonds measuring about 2.8 x 2.8 x 1.9 mm totaling approximately .18 carats. The face of the ring measures about 6.2 mm north to south and 19 mm across, it sits approximately 3.3 mm off the finger, and the band measures about 2.4 mm wide. The ring weighs 3.6 grams and is a US size 9.5.
