On an early summer evening in Edwardian England, the sort where the air still holds warmth long after sunset, a young man waits at the edge of a garden just beyond the glow of the house. There has been music, polite conversation, careful glances across the room. Now, away from watchful eyes, he presses a small velvet box into her palm. Inside rests this ruby and diamond cluster ring, its deep crimson center glowing like a held breath, surrounded by diamonds that catch the fading light. Crafted in 18 karat gold with a platinum setting, the ring speaks without excess, devotion made visible, intention made permanent. This is not a piece chosen for display, but for promise, an Edwardian engagement ring meant to mark a turning point in two lives quietly, confidently joined.

Handcrafted around 1910, this antique ring is made of solid 18 karat gold with the ruby and diamonds set in platinum, a hallmark of fine Edwardian jewelry. The round cluster face measures approximately 10 millimeters in diameter and sits about 6.1 millimeters off the finger, creating a lovely presence without feeling heavy. The ring narrows to approximately 2.1 millimeters at the back of the band and weighs 2.4 grams. At the center is a natural ruby weighing approximately 0.20 carats, surrounded by eight old European cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.25 carats. The ring is a US size 6.

Today, this ring still carries that same quiet intensity. Romantic without being ornate, expressive without excess, it feels deeply personal, the kind of jewel that becomes part of a love story rather than simply adorning it. Whether worn as an engagement ring or cherished as a meaningful antique, it offers history, craftsmanship, and emotion in perfect balance, a piece that has already witnessed devotion and is ready to do so again.
