Antique Art & Crafts Silver Moonstone Oval Brooch Pin

There’s a kind of quiet magic in moonstone, the way it seems to hold light in suspension, glowing with blue fire from within. This enchanting brooch gathers that magic and multiplies it by seven: a large oval cabochon at the center, encircled by six smaller moonstones, all haloed in swirling silver leaves and vines. The openwork design evokes a midsummer night’s breeze, and the cool, watery shimmer of the stones feels like it belongs to dusk and dreams. It’s a piece made not just to adorn, but to enchant.

Handcrafted in silver around 1910, this brooch is an elegant example of the English Arts & Crafts movement. The central moonstone measures 10.5 x 20.5 x 3.8 mm, and the six smaller stones are each about 5 mm across. The overall brooch measures 35.4 mm tall, 44.3 mm wide, and 6.5 mm deep, and weighs 15.03 grams. The pin and clasp appear original. It is unmarked, as many Arts & Crafts pieces were. This piece is unmarked but has been carefully acid tested as sterling silver.
