You know how on certain summer evenings that early sunset light, the rich warm yellow light of the gloaming, seems to last forever? It just goes on and on, this beautiful light that everyone looks amazing in, it seems to bath the world in gold; you know that light? This ring is like that, the center diamond is a beautiful natural yellow stone that seems to catch that golden light and freeze it in time for all eternity. So just in case you love that light, that color, the way that I do, you just might want to slip on this fabulous Art Deco ring and bath in it all day long.
This fantastic ring was hand crafted in platinum in about 1920, it is set with a bright yellow diamond center which is supported by two white diamonds top and bottom. The fantastic shape and gorgeous Art Deco detailing make this ring look like it would be right at home at Gatsby’s place on West Egg. The center stone weights about 0.51 carats and is a light-moderate yellow stone with one small inclusion visible by magnification, about a VS1-2. The other two diamonds weigh about 0.35 carats each, one is slightly more included than the other, both are nice white stones. The three major diamonds are surrounded by 18 small single cut diamonds, the total carat weight in this ring is about 1.35 cttw.
This beautiful ring is marked with ’765’ which is a bit of an odd mark, I believe it refers to the fineness of the platinum. The ring is a size 6.25 and measures 19.3 mm north to south and 9 mm across. It weighs 3 grams.
