Antique Brooch Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee 9k Gold Victorian

$ 320.00

Two hearts, joined by history. This tender little brooch was created to mark Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897, a rare and heartfelt celebration of sixty years on the throne. One heart bears the finely engraved imperial crown framed by tiny blossoms and the proud words Diamond Jubilee. The other carries a delicately pierced and chased “VR” for Victoria Regina, all in graceful script. The hearts are rimmed with polished beads, giving the brooch a sweet dimensionality, as though to echo the steady beat of a long-reigning monarch’s legacy.

Handcrafted in 9 karat gold and fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1897, the brooch carries the stamps 9, .375, an anchor, a script w, and a partial maker’s mark ending in “.Bros”. It measures 18.1 mm tall, 31 mm across, and 6 mm deep, and weighs 2.24 grams. The back is fitted with a traditional Victorian pin and c-clasp.

A small but mighty token of loyalty, patriotism, and enduring rule, perfect for any collector of royal memorabilia or Victorian sentiment.
