She wore her turquoise earrings to lunch in the garden, their bright color lovely against her white linen collar. As she leaned across the table to share a secret, the silver drops swung gently, and her friend interrupted to ask where she had found them.

Dating to circa 1910, these silver oval drop earrings feature two substantial turquoise cabochons, their rounded surfaces giving the stones a lovely sense of depth. One stone measures 16 by 12 by 4.9 millimeters and the other 15.5 by 11.5 by 5.2 millimeters. Each earring measures 47 millimeters long, 22.2 millimeters across, and 9.8 millimeters deep, with a combined weight of 10.13 grams. They bear the mark “800,” indicating silver of 80 percent purity.

An expressive pair with beautiful presence, ready to become the earrings your friends always ask about.
