This wonderful ring is special enough to give for that most of special of occasion, whatever it might be. It’s set with a rich, glowing blue sapphire and two fantastically sparkly old European cut diamonds. The ring was made in 18 karat gold with a platinum setting in about 1920, it’s got French import marks on the back of the band. The ring has been acid tested and has been plated with 14 karat white gold at some point. The bright round cut sapphire measures 5.5x5.2.2.6 mm and weighs about .55 carats, the two diamonds weighs about 0.20 and 0.18 carats each. The ring measures 9.5 mm across the face and is 6.4 mm north to south, it sits 3.6 mm off the hand and narrows to 2.1 mm at the back of the band. This ring weighs 2.6 grams.
