When she saw it, she saw the sweetness of that lost love; saw how the circle of the ring would keep looping, and never end, like her affection. She could smile when she beheld this true treasure, and reminisce of how many laughs they had shared and how many secrets they had told each other, of the love.

This Late Georgian gold and black enamel memorial ring was handcrafted in England in 1831. The band style ring reads, ‘In Memory Of’ in gold on black enamel. Surrounding the message both top and bottom are beautifully carved floral edges. The inside of the ring is inscribed with, ‘Henriette C Selwyn, Obt 18 Aug 1831’. It was crafted of 18 karat gold and is fully hallmarked with the marks showing it was made in London, England in the year 1831 of 18k gold. The face of the ring measures 9 mm north to south all the way around, it’s 1.4 mm thick. This size 6.75 ring weighs 3.7 grams.
