The pierced gallery and foliate shoulders give it that unmistakable Chester charm, delicate, airy, and touched with whimsy; while the marquise-shaped top elongates the finger with soft, antique grace.

Handcrafted in England in 1907, this ring is made in 18 karat gold and fully hallmarked with the crown, “18,” the Chester town mark, the date letter g, and maker’s mark J H. It holds five stones in all: three natural rubies, one at 2.5 × 2.5 × 1.4 mm weighing approximately .06 ctw, and two at 1.5 × 1.5 × 1 mm totaling about .04 ctw, and two diamonds measuring 1.35 mm for an additional .02 ctw. The ring measures 6.6 mm north to south and 18 mm across, stands 3.4 mm off the finger, has a 2.5 mm band, and weighs 2.51 grams. Size US 5.75.
