A smooth, bright cabochon of green jade set into a simply 18 karat gold mount make up this fantastic ring. It’s evidence that something doesn’t have to be elaborate to be gorgeous. A ring like this one lets the natural beauty of the stone be the star of the show.
This hand crafted Edwardian era ring was likely made around 1910. It is set with an oval of jadeite which measures 16.2 mm north to south and 12 mm across and weighs about 9.61 carats, it sits 6.1 mm off the finger and narrows to 2 mm at the back of the band. This ring isn’t marked for the gold content, so we’ve carefully acid tested it as 18 karat. The ring is a size 8.5 and weighs 3.5 grams.
