I was strolling through the narrow cobblestoned streets just north of Paris, in a small town not used to strangers. I found a sandwich shop and in my best broken French ordered ‘un sandwich avec jambon et fromage’ and a glass of Rosé. The man I ordered from was kind, he moved slowly, enjoying the summer’s heat. The small patio overlooked a valley of clay roofed houses and intertwining streets. I found a table and sat. As I held onto the stem of the clear glass, my bracelet caught the sun’s light, making it glow like a cave of wonders. I sipped the wine, tasting the notes of strawberry and basil, letting the flavors linger on my tongue. I noticed how my wrist looked like the sun itself, giving life to earth, making the heavens envious. I also noticed the view and the toughness of my baguette sandwich, and how the wine gave tastes to the bread that could only be found here, right here, in this place, in this moment.

Hunting in the early 1900s wasn’t just a mans game. Women were invited to attend, and they most certainly knew how to dress for the occasion. An adventurous lady of means would ride sidesaddle on her horse, while wearing red to prevent any shots from coming her way. This woman would have known that thematic accessories were also required, such as a hunting-inspired bracelet to accent her black riding hat.
This beautifully hand crafted antique Austrian bracelet features a design inspired from the love of hunting. It was made in Austria, around 1900, in silver. It has a hefty feel at 35.0 grams and 7.75 inches of length. Each hunting motif link is round and 18.8 mm in diameter. Every piece is different from the others as there are eight charms in total, consisting of a dog, a deer, a quail, a wolf, a duck, a boar, a hare, and a raptor. It is marked with the silver content mark, ‘800’ and the maker’s mark reads, ‘BAS’.
This bracelet is a wonderful quality made piece. It’s not just for hunting anymore, but it would make a fabulous gift!

So realistic that you can almost smell the piney scent of the North Woods on the summer air, this fantastically detailed silver bracelet encircles your wrist with beautiful pine cones and needles.
Hand crafted in Europe around 1890-1900, this bracelet has a touch of the naturalist Art Nouveau feel to it. Seven plaques make up this 7.25 inch long bracelet; each plaque features three perfect little pine cones and ruffled edge. The bracelet has hallmarks but we weren’t able to track down where it’s from, possibly French, it tests as better than 800 silver but not quite sterling. Each plaque measures 16.3 mm north to south and 23.6 mm across and the bracelet weighs 31.2 grams. It has a firm clasp and a safety chain for added security.
