French for ‘light of day’, this ‘Plique-a-Jour’ enamel is open front and back like a stained glass window. This fantastic Plique-a-jour pendant dates to the Art Deco era and has a wonderful range of color from blush pink to almost green. The center is set with a square faceted green paste gem and there are sparkling white pastes down each side of the ‘wings’, a faux pearl hangs from the bottom.
This wonderful silver pendant was hand crafted in about 1920 of 900 silver and is marked ‘900’. It measures 45 mm top to bottom including the bale and the drop and is 21 mm wide at the widest point, it weighs 3.6 grams.
