Handcrafted in England in 1881, this antique pearl ring is made in 18 karat gold and fully hallmarked with the crown, “18,” the Birmingham anchor, date letter “E” for 1881, and maker’s mark “H.G & S.” The five pearls are closed-back set and measure approximately 3.5 mm for the center stone, 3.3 mm for the two flanking pearls, and 3 mm for the outer pair. The ring measures 6.7 mm north to south, 19 mm across, and sits low at 2.2 mm off the finger, with a 3.3 mm band. It is currently a US size 6. A classic Victorian five stone ring, it is beautifully balanced and comfortable, ideal as an antique stacking ring, wedding band alternative, or meaningful gift.
