Warm gold curves gently around the finger, divided into three framed panels like pages in a miniature storybook: a ruby glowing on one side, a soft natural pearl at center set into an eight-point star, and another ruby mirroring its twin. It has that comforting solidity so characteristic of Victorian sentiment rings, simple, symbolic, and deeply charming.
Handcrafted in Birmingham in 1895, this ring is fully hallmarked with the crown, “18,” the Birmingham anchor, the date letter "U", and maker’s mark "J.S." It holds two rubies, each measuring approximately 2.5 × 2.5 × 1.5 mm for a combined .14 carat total weight, and a central 3 mm closed-back pearl. The ring measures 6.2 mm north to south and 17.5 mm across, stands 2.3 mm off the finger, has a 2 mm band, and weighs 3.33 grams. It is a size US 6.75.
