Victorian Celtic Black Enamel Silver Cross Pendant

Not all jewelry is timeless, but this cross is the very definition of such a thing. It is as contemporary and relevant today as it was when it was it made about 150 years ago. It’s a chunky cross, hand crafted in sterling silver and the face has a Celtic pattern in black enamel surrounded by an engraved patterned frame.

Hand crafted in Victorian England in about 1870-80, this beautiful piece is large enough to make quite the statement. The cross measures 61 mm from top to bottom and 33 mm across that the widest point, it is 10 mm deep. This cross is marked on the back with the lion passant, the English mark for sterling silver, it weighs 12.6 grams.
